Stepping Out
After more than one hundred years of presenting top quality musicals in the city, Peterborough Operatic and Dramatic Society are proud to present their first play at the Key Studio. And what a play it is!
The much loved modern classic, ‘Stepping Out’ by Richard Harris, takes us back to the leg warmers, Walkmans and politically incorrect gossip of the 1980s. It is a warm, witty and uplifting comedy about the lives and loves of 9 contrasting women … and 1 man who tap their way to glory in the pre X Factor days of Thatcherite England.
Full to its top hats with hilarious one liners, relationships more convoluted than any soap opera and, ultimately, magnificent tap dancing, ‘Stepping Out’ is a warm hearted gem of a play you won’t want to miss.
A terrific cast choreographed by Rob Bristow and directed by Sandra Samwell, look forward to welcoming you to a Key Studio packed with sequinned waistcoats, glitter balls and, mostly, laughter.
