Stacey Kent
The internationally acclaimed and Grammy-nominated vocalist, Stacey Kent, returns to The Key Theatre, Peterborough with a brand new concert, featuring music from her latest album TENDERLY (Sony Records, 2015).
TENDERLY sees Stacey return to familiar ground with her first album of standards since the release of her breakthrough album of 2003, ‘The Boy Next Door’ – featuring tracks such as ‘The Very Thought of You’, ‘Tangerine’, ‘In The Wee Small Hours of the Morning’ and ‘Embraceable You’
The intervening years have seen Kent broaden her repertoire to include originals written specially for her by Booker Prize winning novelist, Kazuo Ishiguro and Jim Tomlinson. Her platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated ‘Breakfast On The Morning Tram’ (Blue Note/EMI 2007), was described in Jazz Times as a “marvellously inventive launching pad for this bold, brave new Kent”. This was followed by ‘Raconte-Moi’ (EMI/BLUE NOTE 2010), Kent’s first live album ‘Dreamer in Concert’ (EMI/BLUE NOTE 2011), and ‘The Changing Lghts’ (Warner Music 2013).
