Ghostly Goings-on at Peterborough Museum
Peterborough Museum not only has a fascinating history and many wonderful objects, but also has a reputation as Peterborough’s most haunted building. Now the Museum is offering you the chance to soak up the spooky atmosphere for themselves on one of two real, live ghost hunts…
On Saturday 24 January 2015 the Museum is staging a special ghost hunting event. During this unique evening you will be led on a tour of the Museum’s haunted locations, including areas not normally open to the public, and after being briefed by expert ghost hunters on what goes on at a paranormal vigil you will get the chance to visit the allegedly haunted locations until the small hours. Who knows, your presence may prompt supernatural activity!
Stuart Orme, Vivacity’s Events and Programmes Manager said ‘We’ve obviously found a great deal of interest in this subject. Many of the people who have been on our ghost walks have expressed interest on finding out more about what goes on in a real ghost-hunt, so we’re delighted to be able to satisfy that interest!’
He adds: ‘Although no guarantees are given of ghostly happenings, it does promise to be a fascinating evening, and the Museum’s apparitions may always decide to put in an appearance. In the last couple of months a number of people have reported spooky experiences inside this building…’
Tickets for this event are strictly limited in numbers, for adults only and cost £35, which includes light refreshments. The event starts at 8pm and will finish before 4am. As these are popular events we will be running a second night of ghost hunting on Friday 27 March 2015.
