Eastern Angles Present River Lane
River Lane Written By Tony Ramsay & Directed by Naomi JonesIn this stunning new community play involving 100 local participants, playwright Tony Ramsay gives us medieval marshland, Frank Brierley’s supermarket, the Peterborough Birdmen, Desmond Dekker and dancing at The Spinning Wheel. Expect monks on stilts, the magic of carp fishing and a soul music-infused journey through Peterborough’s past.Described as a ‘love letter to Peterborough’ River Lane is the story of three 1960s teenagers – their lives, their loves, their music and the agony of growing-up. It is also about the creation of a new city, the trepidation of moving on and the heartbreak of looking back.So take the plunge and be brave like our very own Walter Cornelius and book your tickets now which are limited! Also the venue is yet to be revealed but we will let you know where our exciting Peterborough pop-up space is nearer the time!
